INTRODUCTION
The idea of Jesus calling his disciples to Himself for a special purpose is evidenced in the initial call. He summoned His disciples saying, come follow me, and I will make you fishers of men (Matthew 4: 19, Mark 1: 17). This initial comment about reaching men was reasserted as a command when the resurrected Lord stood before his disciples (Matthew 28: 18 – 20)
THE MANDATE OF A DISCIPLE

Disciples need to be positioned and unshakeable in Christ, in total submissions to Him, unwavering and maintaining an attitude of repentance, with a willingness to be continually taught of Gods word, they are to spread the word of God and tell of the birth, death, resurrection, ascension, glorification and the coming of Jesus the Christ.

- Total obedience to the word of God

- To make disciples of other people (Matthew 28: 19)
- Immerse in water (Colossians 2: 12 – 13, Romans 6: 1 – 8)
- Baptise in the name the father, son and of the holy spirit (Matthew 28: 19)
- Baptise on the name of Jesus (By the authority on Jesus name) Acts 8: 12 – 17, Acts 10: 44 – 48, Acts 2: 38)
- Only repented and converted souls (Act 2: 38)
- It is to fulfil all righteousness (Matthew 3: 15)
